Cold Season

. . . is finally here!

I cannot actually pinpoint 'THE Day'; however, at various points this week, I realized:

  • that the daytime was not getting as cold
  • that I no longer needed the fan in the room as I was too cold during the night with it on
  • and in fact yesterday night, that I needed a cover on the bed, even without the fan on!
  • Ah, cold season it it's glory! It is a wonderful feeling to feel cold. To wear long-sleeved tops again. To shiver in a cold wind.

The other day, I was speaking with my guard Karim in the yard, towards the evening, and there was a definite nip in the air . . . the wind was blowing strong and had I been in Canada, I would have said a storm was coming.

Alas, no rain storms until late-May or June. So, it is a little weird to have such strong winds and an internal sense of a storm brewing, but knowing that such will not happen.

As I type, it is 11 am and still only +25 degrees (and cloudy). Today is a cold day!
