Vieux-Québec

Last Saturday,a friend from Seminary was in town with her French school and we explored all over Old City Quebec. This is a beautiful area of town - all the streets are cobblestone, the buildings are old stone, the churches have stained glass windows.

(Stay posted - once I figure out the flicker-photo thing, I will be adding a link here with all my pictures)

During the weekend was the Festival-de-Nouvelle-France (Festival of New France). Almost everyone was dressed in clothes for a certain period of the settling of Québec or France.

This area looks quite small on the map, but the streets are narrow and it is crowded with little nooks and crannys to explore. It will take about a week to go through the whole area.

We ate supper at a little café called Le Petit Cochon. It is a sandwich and coffee café that is related to Le Cochon Dingue. (more next post . . .)
