Wordless (ish) Wednesday

Today's blog post was inspired by a comment my mother made to my last blog post:  


"I am amazed at how green everything is right 

now - nice contrast to the orange sand. 

Beautiful in it's starkness!"

I am always amazed every rainy season how much "green" ..... plants ... are hidden in the soil, waiting to spring to life when the rain begins to fall!!  

So - I thought today's post would be a contrast photo display.  The location of some of the pictures from the mosquito net distribution, is the same location as the Chicken Training in June.  And - one of the pictures I have from both days is taken from the same place beside the huts and looking in the same direction.  I thought the contrast is even more amazing to see "side by side"!!

Here is the photo in June ... there had been a few rainfalls at this point, so there is a little green-ness, but essentially, you are still looking at a "dry season landscape":
