What I learned today . . .

I learned today that when a can of tomato paste gets too hot, the paste explodes out of the can - like a fully loaded and firing ketchup bottle - as soon as the can opener dents a hole!!!

My kitchen was wonderfully decorated with many red squiggles of tomato paste. Over the floor, on the freezer, up the wall (so high I had to climb a chair to get it off) and all over the counter. Amazingly - none on me!

I consequently learned that I need to rinse the cans of tomato paste in cool water before opening them in hot season.
